Kisik Lee was the National Head Coach for South Korea from 1981-1997 where Korea earned 8 gold medals in ’84, ’88, ‘ 92, ’96. In 1997 Lee moved to Australia to be the National Head Coach and guided Simon Fairweather to Olympic gold in 2000. In 2006 Lee moved to the USA and began his role as National Head Coach in the USA, training athletes like Brady Ellison. Coach Lee successfully took modern scientific knowledge from the fields of kinesiology and biomechanics, physics, sports science and more to create the National Training System (NTS). NTS is full of “gears” (steps) that allow the archer’s body, mind and bow to work together in efficient ways to reduce injury and eliminate target panic. Amherst Archery is honored to host Coach Lee.
